Big pilot fish crown

Hi,

i am correct to assume that the first series of the big pilot 5002 had a fish
crown?

That is correct, the original 5002 had a fish crown. It often was repalced
with a Probus Crown upon service by IWC due to an issues with water
resistence. The two crowns at the bottom of the picture are on the left the
orginial crown that was removed upon a serive call and on the right the Porbus
Crown that was installed. Last January at SIHH, IWC suprised me and installed
a new, functioning fish crown.

yes the 5002 slow beat had originally the fish crown, which was then chenged
during service to the probus scarfusia from IWC as there have been problems
with the sealing as far as I know.

However, as you have seen on my 5002, I still have the fish crown on it!

There is a great story from Bill and last years meeting were Chris changed his
crown back to the "new" fish crown.
