Hello Everyone,
Just noticed this morning that my Big Pilot is running slow. Watch is about 5
years old and has been worn no more than once every 2 months.
Very strange! It appears that the minute hand is not fully locked into the
pinion. I tried hitting the case to the palm of my hand and noticed the minute
hand moving!
What could have happened for the minute hand to come loose? The second hand
appears to be running smooth!

No idea what can happened, best to take it to a authorised dealer to get it
checked
I would also recommend not hitting it anymore lol ..

as Tony said take it a an iwc boutique or an authorized dealer

Here is update:
I picked up my Ingenieur 3227 this morning and hold your breath, the same
thing happened to this watch! How strange is this!! This watch was serviced by
IWC in March 2016. Its not even 3 years! It is doing the same thing as the big
pilot with the difference that minute hand does not appear to be loose or
moving.
This cannot be normal behavior of a watch that has been fairly recently
serviced! I am just besides myself and affraid to pick up my 3713 to wear.
I am pissed. This cannot be happening to both these watches at the same time.
Something is seriously wrong here! I can use more insight other than "take it
to the boutique" gents!
I am very sorry to read your story, but really it is impossible for us to tell
you more without seeing the watch or knowing what happened with the watch..
That is also the reason why we normally don't discuss individual service
matters on the forum.
