Big Pilot Le Petit Prince on black strap

Hi, all.

I am new to the forum, but have been researching BP for a couple months now. My initial thought was to purchase a PAM 312, but when I was in the AD I saw a BP in person for the first time. The crown in person blew me away.

This is a watch I have wanted since it came out in 2002. At the time I wrote it off as something that I could never afford. This year I turn 40 and am thinking that the BP LPP would be a great watch to celebrate this milestone year.

With that said, I saw someone wearing a BP LPP on a black strap and it looked great. I don't seem to see any pics of this on the internet though. If anyone has a picture of their BP LPP on a black strap I would love to see it.

It's unfortunate that I have 111 views, but no replies. I feel like Larry David in the Thor episode trying to get someone to help him change his tire!!!

Could be that the majority has the brown strap on the BPLPP. I have a 5002 BP and also wearing it on a brown leather strap, but switching often to the green Top Gun or a black rubber strap.

Hello - i’m sometimes having the BP LPP on a blue IWC strap. It works pretty well. Never worn it on a black one. I think the blue dial on black strap is also very good: just check the latest BP years anniversary ...blue on black.
I’ll post a pick of the blue on blue.

The 5009-08 with the Blue dial is perfect on a dark Blue IWC alligator BP strap. I enjoy my watch this way a lot.

Have not tried a black one yet.

The blue alligator strap is fairly dark and appears black in some photos. I wouldn't be surprised if the black strap you saw was actually blue!

Would love to see any pics you guys have on the blue alligator.

If you're AD/Boutique is willing you could ask if they would swap the straps for you.

I just realized the Big Pilot 150 years are blue dial on black strap.  I now have all the pics I could need to see what the LPP looks like on black.
