big pilot

good morning
i came across a big pilot with all the appearances of the white gold type.
- black dial
- white date
- chrome bezel around the date window
- power reserve with a red section on the 1 day position

there are 2 remarkable observations
- there is a fish on the crown. does not have to be strange because more IWC`s have this
- the back is engraved besides the normal International watch Co.:
the outer bezel: limited edition platinum.

to my opinion the platinum edition should have 2 dots at the 12 o`clock position??

the watch is beautiful crafted and runs too smooth to be a replica.

any suggestions??

Post a picture that will help..

I am pretty sure that the platinum editions do NOT have a black dial.
Instead they have a blue dial.

But qgain posting a pic will help

From what I can extrapolate for the 5002, there seems to have been 500 black versions(IW500203) and 500 blue versions(IW500202) but there may be duplication in my data. If so, there were 500 in total, divided between black + blue.
With the release of the platinum 5004 BP, the 'only blue dials in platinum watches' tradition seems to have been abandoned with examples like:
Father & Son - Silver dial
St. Antoine - Brown dial, silver subdial
Tourneau - Silver dial, black subdial
Wempe 2012 - Black dial
All Big Pilots watches have 2 dots at the 12 o`clock position. On platinum 5002's these are always in rhodium. On other platinum BP's rhodium dots are only sometimes used.
