    Hi guys,
I´m going to buy the latest Big Pilot LPP (IW501002) somewhen this year (sooner than later).

As its a crazy amount of money to spent on a watch (at least for me), I would love to hear your story and tribute to that beautiful piece.

Was hopeing that its too big and heavy for me - but "unfortunately" it fits perfectly and I´m deeply in love since I had it on my wrist the first time. =)

Also whats your recommendation? Buying at an AD or from a Boutique (got the contact from one of their Boutique managers from their Instagram account).

Looking forward to hear what you personally love about your Big Pilot :-)

    Hi Adrian,
as I know that you are in love with the BP, go for it and you will never regret it!! If you have a boutique in your area, I would buy it there but an official IWC AD is also fine. I would have to drive 2 hours to Frankfurt as this is my nearest Boutique.

The LPP is a stunning BP, the blue is just gorgeous and another eye-catcher to the already impressive BP on the wrist.

I am sure Aline Thomas will be as usual a great host in the Munich Boutique!!!

The Petit Prince Big Pilot's watch is an awesome piece. You won't regret it. I have the Limited Edition of 1000 pieces that was before and it is an icon in my collection. My funds are always low for watches but I enjoy every day what I've got.
As I'm lucky enough to have my nearest boutique in Schaffhausen in the factory and I am very happy to be there in a 1 h train ride, I can only recommend the boutique experience. But my local AD here in Basel also does a great job.

I am not sure where you are in Germany but I have a friend working at the IWC Boutique in Munich. Buying from the boutique is a great experience and I believe has long term rewards and benifits.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you for all the answers and for sharing your pictures. Really looking forward to... especially as the latest version has the improved pellaton and ceramic parts as well. All the technical features are exciting - like the 7 (8,5) days power reserve and that the movement automaticly stopps before the tension of the mainspring is exhausted.

Adrian, soory I missed that in your profile - Osnabrück, Germany

I am in Germany at least once a year for a trade fair and now it seems like I will be there twice, but both times in Munich.

I bought my big pilot from an AD in Miami a couple of years ago.
I've enjoyed wearing it eveery time since that trip.

I like the older versions for their better use of lume on the dials. Maybe I'll buy one of those in the future.
Until then, I'm enjoying all the time I wear my current piece.
Looking for a rubber strap but coming up short at the only local authorized dealer.
Tried on a rubber strap from a Portuguese piece but it didn't fit as well as I'd like.
