I was at the Zurich Airport, and I finally spied a boutique, almost hidden away from the other shops:

It's actually owned and operated by Türler, a major Zurich retailer and which has an airport shop carrying other high-end watch brands just around the corner. I was told that 15 million persons pass through the airport annually.
    Here's the entrance:

It's a small shop with one desk in the middle:

But it still carries out the ambiance of the Flagship boutique, with watches shown in bookshelves and more style than simple display cases.

I heard that in a few years IWC may open its 100th boutique throughout the world. This is amazing growth and reinforces the brand's value.

I love the IWC Zürich Airport Boutique. I travel for business reasons from time to time to Zürich and always ensure to be early enough at the airport in order to have enough time to visit the Boutique.
The staff there is very friendly and always open to a chat.

Is this a new addition? I think I was there a couple of years ago but there are so many boutiques now I am not certain of anything.

Good to know, and thanks for sharing Michael.

Here in Hong Kong the Pacific Place boutique recently opened, and as we speak one more is coming up in IFC Mall.

I was told the highest volume point-of-sales for IWC is Flagship Boutique 1881 Heritage, followed by the HK Airport BOutique, staffed by Jasmine, Ruby etc. Given the number of tourists moving through airports, I think it's a great location. And personally, swinging by the airport boutiques is a great way to start off a relaxing holiday :)

100th boutique soon? Impressive! For a newbie like me, it's great to witness one of the most exciting moments of growth of the company. With positive growth like this, I'm really looking forward to the next offering in the product line.

In order to take the later flight from Geneve I've chosen to go with unnecessarily stop through Zurich. We'll see how much time I will have to stop here :o) Thanks Michael for the hint to what to look for.
