I have been looking to try a BP for a while to complement my Port. 7-Day and have not been able to try one on. So here I am asking you if you think that a BP would be too big for my unfortunately small wrists? Pics could also help if someone has a BP on a similar wrist.

    Cheers,

    Pierre

You will not be the only one >>

wearing such a big watch on a small wrist.
Surely if I can do it so can any man ;-)
But seriously it does not matter what others think - most important is if you are happy with it.
It took me a few years to get to this point but I have no regrets. Also I find the BP sits nicely on my wrist even if the watch is big and my wrist is so small.

    Works!

    Hello Pierre,
I have a wrist of a similar size than yours and I have ordered a BP. I will get the watch with a short XS strap for deployant clasps and I have asked to replace the BP strap by a Portugieser strap because I felt that the BP strap is too stiff to easily be bent around a narrow wrist.

Consider also a St Exupery strap...

If I recall, the lug width is the same, the look is similar and the leather is more pliable. But I would think it works best with a tange buckle.

    Michael

    St Exupéry lug sizes

The lug size from the St Ex Chrono is 21 mm, for the St Ex Power reserve too. For the UTC it says 20 mm in the reference pages but I think this should also be 21 mm?

A similar strap however is used on the Vintage collection Pilot's watch hand wound and this one has a lug width of 22 mm, tapering to 18 at the buckle. That's exactly the same size as for the BP strap.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

    you're right

..and of course the Big Pilot Watch uses a 22mm strap. The new Vintage Collection Pilot Handwound strap works perfectly, at least with a tange buckle.

    Michael

exactly nicky and you look great in it...

it's not about the siez of the wrist. it's about how confident you feel wearing the watch.
if you like the watch and it makes YOU feel good then go for it. you're not buying it for anyone else!

You will not have any problem on a 16.5 cm wrist.

    Cheers from Isobars.

It looks great on Nicky and I really like her point: Who cares what anyone else thinks....
