Since I acquired the Big Ingenieur Chrono back in July, it was short-lived on my wrist. The strap that the watch comes on is something that I quickly began to dislike. It's taper/shape is not too attractive, and the heavy, heavy case off-sets the light strap - and makes it really unbalanced.

I ordered the Steel Bracelet that comes as an option to the Big Ingenieur - and is listed as an accessory for the Big Ingenieur Chrono in the dealer catalog - but does not ship as a configuration of the watch itself...

This watch really comes alive - and is now in the form it deserves to be. My wife actually noticed this watch for the first time the day I wore it with the bracelet.

This bracelet is MEANT for this watch.

Good to see that you decided to...

keep that beauty. Looks great with more steel. I'll bet it really weighs in great now.

Much better on the bracelet indeed!

Good to see you enjoy the watch again, it would be a pity not to wear such a magnificent piece!

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

    Could not agree more....

I have the metal bracelet on my Ingenieur too, and this watch was designed (IMHO - strangely enough) to be worn that way, with a metal bracelet. Probably, a greater percentage of the watches sold, have had their original straps changed.

BTW: Great photo - first time I noticed the small numbers engraved on the bezel ring!

    Well done

It looks so much better this way, fitting to an Ingenieur. All in all it must be a piece of heavy metal. Is this the bracelet with the micro adjustment, or is that just for the Da Vinci? Enjoy the watch, I thought, read, that you wanted to sell it again quickly, I think in this configuration it is a keeper.

    Kind regards,
Paul, wearing steel VC Pilot's watch

Looks great Richard. I agree that the watch

deserves that bracelet. As much as I enjoy swapping the bracelet on my 3227 for the strap occasionally, the watch wears better and is better balanced on steel. I can only imagine that your Big Inge Chrono would benefit even more.

One of the best looking and most comfortable

bracelets in the industry. Its counterpart on the 3227 is wonderful. Congrats on the upgrade.

No micro-adjustment on this bracelet... but....

    Paul -

I did have a couple links removed - and it fits wonderfully. It's such a fantastic bracelet - and bigger than the one that fits the 3227 Ingenieur auto.

I was interested in selling this watch - because I bought it, thinking I would like it - and never warmed to it - and it was the contrast with the strap. After the first couple weeks with the watch last summer, I honestly NEVER wore it again.

    • this watch is meant to be worn on a bracelet - and now, I love this watch now. A great, sporty, yet classy option to some of my gold ones.

Much better than the brown strap you tried-

Looks great, that is one combination I also have contemplated.

Great choice indeed. An Ingenieur like this...

    ...deserves a bracelet no doubt.
    Hope you enjoy wearing it.

I guess all Ingenieurs are made to be worn with

the bracelet. This looks indeed far more better. I did the same with the Ingenieur Ceramic (same bracelet too) and I don't feel the urge to go back to the softstrap.
