Great photos mate. Thinking about maybe doing a river cruise in 2016 and Budapest is one of the destinations. Your photos are wicked, it looks like an awesome place. Love your BP too. How good was that race???? Probably the best so far this season I think. Nice thread.
Cheers,
Jarrod
Excellent visit report and photos - and most certainly a watch that fitted the occasion.
Thanks for sharing.
Budapest was one of my favorite destinations...beautiful architecture, great food and friendly people. Your photos brought back some good memories, Kollnik!
what a great travelogue... thanks for sharing. shame lewis didn't make it to 1st (that would have been legendary) but still a respectable 3rd. but your ceramic BP is for sure top of the podium!

thang
Great photos.
It's probably the best Hungaroring GP ever from a racing point of view. From a racing fan's perspective, Hamilton's refusal to respond to team orders cost Mercedes a win but the consequence was a wonderful race to the end. Budapest is a great city and your photos show why people should try and see the place at least once. If you saw a tall very good looking guy wearing a 3717 in the pit lane, it might have been my son. He's been wearing IWCs at most GPs long before there was a Mercedes team.
The watch looks great in Hungary. And wherever else it shows up! As for the race-phenomenal! Best this year. Nice you could get there and see it.
Great report. Thanks for sharing.
Nice thread, thx for sharing!
Though I'm not a race enthusiast, Budapest is a really nice place to visit. Interesting to see the building with my office on one of your photos (the one taken from the "Budapest Eye").
BTW an F1 race is best to visit with a chronograph on your wrist, eh? :)
And your BP stands for Budapest or Big Pilot? :)
Regards,
Robert
Beautiful town, great watch and really nice pics - thx for sharing!
best,
Christian
Those are some beautiful photos of the beautiful city. And I'm not talking about the watch still! :o) Thank you very much for this travel log.
Thank you for the perfect report! I love Budapest as well!
Your pictures bring back fond memories of Budapest. And the watch is pretty nice as well.
