Cal 33 Elgin I qual 1885/1886
Hello Norbert,
WOW! What a very rare beauty! I´ve never seen this kind of click to the ratchet wheel. I´ve published also a picture of a Caliber 33:

But yours seems to be the oldest / earliest version comparing both clicks. Your movement Nr.22652 is correct? Would be a honor if you may give the the permission to publish a movement picture of your rarity (by courtesy of Norbert Sehm).

Hello MF,
very nice 1A, but the balace are other, please send us a Picture of dial. Very courios crown, one time see by a Jones watch.
Meis shows a Pic of cal. 33/59 Elgin I it looks like how my watch but my wheel holder is unter adjustment, so it is a cal. 33 say Friedrich Wagener.
Look at the numer in IWC Meis book there is a courios number.
not a good dial image, but...
Here's what I have right now. I'm also uncertain if this movement was recased.
I also have another Elgin, and that one has the dial shown below. it has a broken crown wheel, and I haven't found a watchmaker clever enough to fix it (presumably by borrowing a part from another watch rather than fabricating the part at a large cost to me).
Regards,
Michael
