After the warm welcome I received upon posting some info and questions regarding my cal 89 Yacht Club yesterday I was inspired to also share the other HW IWC in my collection.

The cal 83 have just undergone a full movement service. (Movement pictures courtesy and by permission of my watchmaker.)

Beautiful watch, and the cal 83 is gorgeous. One just like it came up on eBay here recently, and I looked long and hard at it, but in the end didn't go for it.

    Thank you!
Looking hard to find an exact match. Do you have a link to the auction?

    Thanks for nice feedback.
My vintage specialist watchmaker made direct comparisons to Pateks standards both in terms of design and finish after he was done with the job.
The caliber 83 really is a, not too often mentioned gem!

Weeelllll, I went back and looked, and it wasn't the exact same watch at all. It was similar. But it was caliber 62, didn't have the beautiful lugs, and the face was slightly different. Memory plays tricks. If you are still interested, the article number is 291593780640 (eBay Germany) - I hope it's okay to post article numbers; if not, moderators, please delete.
