    Hi everyone

I just bought my fist IWC!
    Vintage 853.

Can you help me identify what year it was made?
Numbers inside on the movement are:
    2099215
    2400
    206780

From what I was told by a 90 year old jeweler in Montreal Canada, he bought this watch from an old customer 30 years ago. It had been in his safe since. Never worn.

    Thank you for your help

    Hi Alain,

your current numbers are not plausible (perhaps missing numbers), could be a mistake ?!

Please try again, case number and movement number, thanks.

I made a mistake on one number:
2067880 (this is the correct number on the mechanism)

I tried uploading pictures from my desktop without success. URL needed.

    Ahah:

    this is what I found:

The movement is a calibre 442, dating from the year 1972.
The case was most probably produced around 1973 and delivered up to 1975

    Movement number 2,099,215
    Case number 2,067,880
