It's a ref 803..'64/5/6/7/8/...the lug architecture had an amendment early in
the run..the dial-hand-kit youve shown is more synon with the model..the semi
    concealed
    crown is brill...looks sharp...lucky lad.

    Hi Targon,

to judge on the photo, i see a watch that is in very good condition. it is
more a Cal 8531 than 853 due to the date feature. The pie pan dial and the
hands look great to. It looks like almost unworn or it had a service in
    Schaffhausen.

That is a good watcht to give to your son.

Thank you for your judgement. I just want to avoid that his first is a fake.
Are these hands normal on a iwc pie pan on a ref. 1590534. the watchband looks
like a new one. The case is original. Dial looks good but did not see it in
combination with dial. Can this be imitated?

I hope I'm doing the right thing.
    thank you again.

    Hi Targon,

looks good from my point of view. Non luminous dial matching non luminous
baton type hands of the correct lenght.

I shortly checked the web on similar watches and i found some with pie pan
    dials and baton hands.

I also found the one with movement number 1590534. The movement looks also
    very good here. ;-))

Thank you - really appreciate your knowledge. As you have seen it may I ask 2
    questions:

    1) is the price ok?

    2) the back cover engravings look strange - normal?

    thank you for your guidance

    Hi Targon,

first my answer to question two:

from my point of view those marks on the caseback are cominig from the use of
a Nato Strap (hard Nylon fibers).

    Question 1:

since we do not discuss prices here i can offer you to send me your E-Mail
    Address to my personal account "c r o m a g n o n m a n AT o u t l o ok . d
e" i will then respond directly to you.
