    Yankel,

A number of strap brands make versions of "Carbon" straps. Your photo appears to be a HIRSCH carbon strap. It is available in a variety of colors including buckle. Here it is on ref. 3231 Vintage Collection AT.  I think it makes for a nice pairing.  But to very honest, I would not match it up to a pilot. IMO, pilots look best with more of a vintage, traditional theme. However, beauty is in the eye if the beholder. If you like the look, that's what matters most. Another issue that comes with the XV is that selection is much more difficult since it has a 19mm lug. The HIRSCH carbon is not available in that size. If it is truly a HIRSCH brand on the XV in your photo, the ends might have been shaved. Might be difficult to squeeze a 20mm on without alteration since this strap is not very flexible.

Share with us what you end up with. Some nice pic's would be great.

    Cheers,

    Andy

    Andy,
I agree with you that a "vintage" is more appropriate.  Finding just the right 19mm vintage strap is not easy for me. Any suggestions???
    Thanks

According to your profile, it appears you are located in the U.S. so finding a AD or Boutique to order one should be easy. If you need help, the IWC Conceiger staff can assist in locating one for you.  My second choice would be a classic, clean Horween Shell Cordovan ( photo) which IMO is a perfect strap for many style watches including the XV. It's tough as nails, comfortable and gets better with age. Another choice that never fails is a matt finish Croc with or without a white/ cream contrast stitching. Personally, I like the contrast stitch. I think it looks great with the XV black/white dial. All of these options are readily available in 19mm and various length choices. Searching the web " 19mm watch straps " will guide you to many vendors.
