    Hi IWC experts,

I hope you can help me with this one. I have an IWC Mark XII bought from a
second hand dealer. A watchmaker just checked the movement and he found out
that the number (serial number) on the backcase does not match the one that he
saw on the movement. Should I be worried or sometimes case change happens when
serviced (doesn'ts have service history though)? Also, the warranty card that
came with the watch does not have the serial number written on it.i wonder if
that also happens sometimes. Thanks in advance for the help!

    Enjoy your wonderful Mark Xll

The case number and movement numbers are entirely different entities and will
differ by up to 2000 and sometimes more......Mark Xlls had a beautiful Jaeger
    Le Coultre movement inside.

There are several reasons why the warranty card was not filled out at time of
sale ie: export, sold by a reseller etc.

Enjoy your watch, you have nothing to worry about.
