    I thought this would be an interesting thread title as there are many ceramic
    watches within our community!

    Here follows my ceramic Pilot Laureus with Japanese Steel Santoku.

    Why are there so many unnatural scratches on that santoku and what steel is it? Was it ruined by wiping it with a green Scotch Brite and scratching up a polished kitchen knife blade?

    Thank You for the question.
    Not sure the scratches are unnatural, they all occurred during natural use and cutting. I can assure you it's washed with a sponge.

    a green Scotch Brite sponge, particularly the hard dark green portion?
