... But, really, I suggested the product line and price range, and Georges Kern picked the model. Product Management and Design then came up with specific ideas which I then contributed to (in fact there were three redesigns, showing how "difficult" I was) and then Herr Kern signed off.

That's great news, Michael. And that is the way it has to go: If everybody does his job that great, something like this can come true.
If the watch is going to be what I think (and hope), I could try to get in - even if I don't know yet how to realize that.

    Thanks for your big efforts!

I had a dream, CF3 came out as a BP. It was a little too large for my small wrist, but I didn't care. I was walking out from the boutique with it and then I woke up...

    ...I think I cried a little...

Vincent, that's not a dream - it's a nightmarewaking up to discover you "miss" your CF3LoL

Nice picture BTW - looks good there!

    Vincent,

May be you cry was tears of joy that CF3 is not going to be a big-sized watch as the BP is! I am hoping it will not follow the trend to big sizes.

Given the August summer holidays all over Europe, I am expecting we'll probably need to wait few more weeks till early September. That's when any new announcement is likely to have the biggest impact with people back paying attention after vacations.

Thank you for the update, Michael. We really appreciate the efforts you and the IWC team has put into making this a reality. At least I can put my BP speculation to rest now, pray the nightmares will stop.

Given its not going to be an Ingenieur or Da Vinci, and we now know its not a BP, what do we think its likely to be? Portuguese?

    Maybe a ...

But for sure, what it is going to be is "The CF3 Watch". - and that means it is going to represent this forum and its members (yes - that mesns you ladies and gents). And that simple fact will make it a unique piece.

Now add to that, everything MF has shared about here (even if that's very little hard facts) it's for sure going to be a handsome piece.

I'm inAnd hopefully I will be able to secure one.

I would be right in assuming all CF1's and 2's sold out? Does anyone recall numbers for those 2 models by chance?

The CFI'S was a LE of 100. The CFDV was not a big seller. Only a few were produced and sold.

Thanks for that. My next question would be, do you think they may still have any of the CFDV's left over that didn't sell??

I seriously doubt any new CFDVs will be produced. It won't surprise me, however, if one were not to become available eventually on the resale market. They were not engraved with the owners'name and they were numbered only as one of xxx.

Thanks for the info Bill. You never know, maybe they had one or two that never got sold and they may read this and get in touch. You never know your luck....

Is the case engraving literally " one of xxx " ?

Now we know it is not the BP, I reckon it to be the AT as next year is the Year of AT.

Hope to hear from MF as I am planning for my next incoming soon.

No. I believe it says One of 100.
