and is worn by some fine gentleman who occasionally get together to celebrate the fact that they have the privilege of owning one of these handsome times pieces - here are a few of them celebrating together:
And for me, the watch wears perfectly and looks absolutely amazing!
It is almost time to change the scenery here, it is about the end of July. I guess there is no news, or we would have read it. Still, I have to ask: can the model to make the CFW3 be revealed soon? I want to take a look at the Portuguese Chrono Classic, I hope this will not be the base for the CFW3. Thank you for your understanding, let's hope for some good and exciting news pretty soon!
Paul --as a status report, about 2 weeks ago IWC had its big marketing meeting. I therefore waited until today to contact them with a question about "next steps", and I was told they'd consider the issues and get back to me in a few days.
My thinking is that there can be some disclosure in the next two weeks. I also am thinking of reducing the number from 150 to 100 but that's not my decision.
Please humor me with this posting as I know the reality. If all goes well and your timeline is correct, we will hopefully know at least what model the CF3 will be built upon. That said, part of the excitement and fun of the reveal is the guessing game. So....
If the run number is considered being reduced, then that could be tied to Paul's concern. Since the Portugeuse Classic has had a very strong positive response and a number of us have already purchased it, it would make sense that the final production count would be adjusted downward.
Like I said, this is just speculation on my part and having some pure fun with no response required. Others may read into this differently and have their thoughts.
Thanks Michael, I've also been "off the grid" due to travels and moving house in the past couple of weeks but its great to know that we'll be having more information soon.
I'm a bit worried with the eventual reduction of the production run from 150 to 100... I hope that will be enough for our demand here.
Maybe it would help to build up some picture to know how many people posted more than 10 posts here in 2013. I am too lazy and no fool, I will not attempt a count. But maybe Michael could know with the use of some function in the forum control software. My guess would be about 80 people, but this guess could be so horribly off. But if right, it could be an indication that 100 CFW3 watches could be viable, if the watch is a real want-to-have.
I agree with Paul - "if the watch is a real want-to-have". I'm afraid even a 100 may be too many, it would not be fun to set the number high and then only sell a fraction of them. After the CF2 that would surely destroy any chance of a CF4. And I do know that we all are a pretty picky bunch - we like what we like and you do really have to like something to spend USD 15.000 on it :-)
