No. I believe it says One of 100.

I seriously doubt it is an AT. Bet on a pilot, just not a BP.

  • 3 Aug 2013, 6:29 p.m.

The case will NOT say 1 of 100, nor 1 of xxx. Each case will have an individual number such as 1/100 or whatever the production quantity will be.

It will not be an Aquatimer. Special editions must follow by a year any new model.

    We're narrowing down the possibilities...

At this time I believe we know that it will be a in-house movt. with some special feature/complication(?). If correct, maybe we might be seeing a power reserve indicator on a "display back"....

Can't wait for the reveal. Drum roll please !

Think some are getting carried away with the extras the CF3 is going to have.
I reckon the pilot model will have a dial colour and or dial texture variation with maybe a CF3 added on the dial and the possibity of after purchase name engraving which guarentees it has a solid steel back. So no display back and no special mark on the auto weight and no additional complication over stock models such as PR.
That's my guess, but is it the basic auto, the chrono or the world timer? Must remember to breathe whilst waiting for the announcement, I keep going blue, but not Laureus blue!
This is without doubt the worst "Andrew" tease we have had on the forum!

    Thanks MF for the reply.

This really helps in my planning of the new incoming soon.

Can a ceramic case be engrave?

Doubt it, but the case backs are titanium I believe which could be engraved I imagine although it is a hard metal. It won't be ceramic though given the price point requirements. My guess.

Let's do a little detective work... MF said the watch is a limited edition one year out from a current line with an engravable back, an in house movement, under $15k USD, and a color even Regulateur will like.
So assuming its a Pilot, since that is what the chatter was all about last year, it has to be one of four Pilot watches. It cannot be a BP. A ceramic is too expensive. A perpetual is too expensive. Can't be gold or platinum.
So that leaves a Mark XVII, a Pilot chronograph, a Spitfire Chronograph or a Worldtimer.
MF implies a different color that Regulateur will like. Hmmm, that eliminates the Worldtimer in my opinion...too hard to change that dial color.

So, bet on one of three, a Mark XVII, a Pilot Chrono or a Spitfire Chrono. And remember, the back has to be closed to be engraved.
I'll sign up right now for any of the three...unless it has the red vampire subdials. LOL

A Spitfire would be my hope out of those 3.

Going to throw out another possibility. MF wanted something a bit more rare. Perhaps this is the time for a "White Dial" MARK and maybe something special to the casing such as 'sandblasting' like the LE Swiss Patrolle 3717.

Staying on the MARK, a beautiful dark blue dial with a Ti case would be also a rarity.

Should a CF3 MARK appear, only hope "no date" window is in the design.

From those three only the Spitfire is inhouse.

I am curious but at under 15k US$ it may not include the current IWC chronograph - a movement I would love to see continued in the IWC CFW line but trust that IWC will offer a spectacular watch!

A spitfire was my absolutly wish.
    Hope its right.

And now a great dial maybe something in old
    style and it could be
    a great watch.

With the New laureus and DFB 2014 and
the new aquatimers could be a great Year.
