A spitfire was my absolutly wish.
Hope its right.
And now a great dial maybe something in old
style and it could be
a great watch.
With the New laureus and DFB 2014 and
the new aquatimers could be a great Year.

I can't imagine that it could be the Spitfire Chrono @ under $15k!
....but I'd love it to be based on that timepiece. Against that, Alan is right that its the only one in that lineup of 4 which has an in-house movement. All very intriguing.
Maybe it's the MK XVII fitted with an in-house Cal.8541!
I'd take 2!
Yes Mark...My feeling is the same as your's regarding the MARK. If I'm not mistaken, words to the affect that a in-house was not out of the question being dropped into a model with say a ETA. If so, the MARK could be the gem. It's the perfect piece to really do some interesting "one of a kinds" to and keep the price point within reach for many.
@ Vishal....oh yah, a sandblasted case like the Swiss Patrolle is a stunning look and feel. It gives off that Ti look without I would think the expense. I believe Kevin has one and perhaps when he next posts some pic's, he might be able to share a shot in the special way he does...super angles and excellent clarity.

A lot of speculations. I guess we still have to be patient, although maybe not for so long anymore. But regardless of the model lets also keep in mind what the CF3 stands for and the thoughts behind it. For me personally that will mean more than the way it looks, although I'm as curious as anyone else here ;-)
Why cannot it be the Spitfire Chrono under $15k? the SS is listed for $10,700 as retail on this website, do we expect a CF limited edition to be marked up by more than $5k? I have stared at the ardoise dial couple of times thinking I should get that next. Now I am going to wait, few more weeks to a month of waiting if just what the doctor is ordering.
Ray
If not a version of the Spitfire Chrono, why not a version of the St. Exupéry Chrono, a look-alike of the 387806? Just another kind of dial, hands and back, and there it is!
Kind regards,
Paul
Guys, MF has requested no personal likes. Let's wait and see.
Do we have a stand-in moderator? I wasn't aware of that, sorry!
Kind regards,
Paul
Michael needs to close this thread and start a new one. Just getting too long.
I noticed this has 10,000 views. Could this easily be the most viewed thread in this forum?
Ray
Not at all Paul. I believe that because of the enormous number of threads, we may have drifted away from the original message.
Our software doesn't allow me to "lock" a thread, but only delete one. I surely should not do that, and there's no easy way to deflect one thread to another.
Ha! Nice one. Every time a see a new post in this thread I think it's the announcement of what it is!!!
Dear fellows,
How do we really get CF3 when it is aired? Do we need to get in touch with an IWC boutique around?
No pushers on your warning sign?
thin bezel too
lugs are a bit off too
LOL...
Ah Ha...I knew it ...a white dial Mark
My friend you ll hear it for sure.
I think they ll ask for some Confirmation of Interest papers to sign and send back to IWC stating the boutique you prefer to get the watch from.
But there ll be adequate info in due time I believe.
We might use the same boutique if the watch ll be a very nice one to my tastes.
As much as I tried to make it ambiguous... Tsk tsk tsk...
Sounds very promising - hope more news will come out shortly. I should not forget about also making savings for those diamond earrings though...
Have previous discussions prior to the releases of CF edition 1&2 ever escalate to this level of want / need / excitement? Or are we presently in a watch-crazy period?
I believe the CFI was sold out soon after it was disclosed, but there were a couple of drop-outs, which allowed die-hard collectors who had missed it, to get it. The CFdV was controversial to say the least, and few were sold making it one of smallest LE issued by IWC. They are both outstanding watches.
Regarding the CF3. I wonder if "this level of want / need / excitement" expressed so far for the CF3 will translate in actual purchases. Talk is cheap and "the proof of the pudding is in the eating" as they say.
very exciting, can't wait for the reveal and summer? who's summer? Not everyone lives in the same hemisphere, but I presume this means the northern summer so around June 2014. And collect it from the nearest boutique? There are no boutiques in Australia. Which country has the lowest tax on watches??? I will get it delivered there and fly over to collect it.
