Is anyone aware of any guides or advice for how to change straps on my BP?
I don't have the tools (yet) and I am fearful of damage so input from the professionals here would be appreciated before I embark.

If you simply Google "how to change watch strap" you will find multiple links on how to do this.
While some amateurs use a knife, I think a springbar tool is essential. Also, the main problem is potentially scratching the lugs by a slip of the tool. Some people even cover the lugs in masking tape to avoid that.
A Big Pilot Watch has a strap that doesn't compress at the lugs easily, and is a little more difficult to change. Given the value of the watch, it might be worth a professional doing it and you watching. The cost is often nominal if not free.
At the risk of shilling (please delete my post if I'm overstepping my bounds here, Michael), here's a link to an article that I participated in detailing just this very subject:
gearpatrol.com/2012/04/10/timekeeping-how-to-change-a-watch-strap/
(I supplied the watches, tools and hands; my friend took the pictures; and another friend wrote the words.)
Next time I promise I'll use an IWC... ;-)

No problem, Adam. On the contrary, thanks.
great stuff Adam. thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Adam.
That is nice info.
Cheers.
Be careful. Good advice from MF. However, I did have a watch marked by an AD who did it for me.
Ouch!! Think I will leave it to the professionals but really appreciate the input.
Great guide
Thx!

Where, besides an AD, are folks looking for straps?
