Hi all,
I am buying a Portofino 3541 with a leather strap from a French dealer as a present for my wife. The watch is from a collection, unused and with box and papers.
I read elsewhere in this forum that one of the best indicators is weight and size. I found a weight of 60.5 grams and a case diameter of 34mm, but also see that there are 001, 002 and (at least) 003 variants.
Does the weight vary between variants?
Also, are there differences between the variants and will I be able to determine which variant it is? What dates where the variants produced? Should I expect to find that date on the papers?
Sorry for the questions, but I'm no specialist and there seem to be some really good fakes out there!
