15 years ago I bought a wonderful Chopard pocket watch, probably fitted with an IWC-movement. I am sure that it is a c.95 or c.952.
But on the movement there are no IWC marks or numbers.
I tried to get informations from Chopard, but they did not answer.
To compare it better, I have added a picture with an IWC c.952 numbered 2025668.
What is your opinion, has anybody heard that IWC produced movements for Chopard?

Thank you for posting. Never saw such a Chopard before.
Is there a serial number hidden under the metal ring ?
    Looks indeed an IWC movement.

I've enquired about this curiosity with someone at Chopard, and this is what they have disclosed:

“Anne Walter sent this info. We have a similar piece in the museum, luckily!

    Pocket watch
Lepine case, 18 carat gold with L.U.C. insignia
White dial with Chopard Geneve, 11 roman characters
    Small seconds hand at 6
    Breguet hands
    Mechanical IWC movement 952, 38.35mm diameter, 19 jewels, 18000 Hz, regulated in 5 positions, 16 ¾ lines (?)
    Breguet spring
    Year of production: 1976
    Reference: 3024
    Diameter: 49mm
    Height: 9mm

During this period, Chopard did not produce its own movements, and purchased them from outside sources. There were many different calibres; at the museum, we have 30 different movements.”

There is an old post on the forum with some examples of IWC movements for other brands, even the Chopard was mentioned.
    You can find it here

I know the old posting, the Chopard snd the Tiffany watch are in my collection.
The difference to the other is the lack of any IWC signs on the movement of the Chopard watch.
I tried to get any information fro Chopard, but they did not answer.
So I am very glad to get these informations from Nelson!!
