Good interview.
And I have seen the pocket watch collection. It is truly amazing.
Very interesting interview.
About this question
What is your all time favorite IWC?
"<Omissis>. Probably, if not my most recent one, the Collectors’ Forum Ingenieur, a limited edition of 100 IWC watches especially made for forum members. I like it because it is not only an outstanding watch, but it also represents something. It stands for tradition and it stands for the future. It also stands for a community and I consider that the accomplishment I’m most proud about. We’ve built a great community."
Beatiful words and, how true!
And I missed the watch! :( (cry, cry, cry)
:)
Congrats Michael!
Nicely articulated. It reflects what many of us think but never express.
outstanding ! love this - and no better person to showcase.
Brilliant, Michael. Straightforward and clear minded.
And looking good...
For the second time today I have to say that you make us proud!
Very nice interview, congratulations. I had no idea that you were a founder of TimeZone -- I'm probably the last one here to learn of it.
Michael, Congratulations on an excellent and informative interview. I hope you get the opportunity to do more of these they are learning experiences for all of us.
Thanks again.
Regards,
Kevin
Very interesting interview. I love the story about the missionary using the pocket watch in the jungle for 40 years.
Think about it... MF got his first IWC catalog in 1994. And in a way the explosion of the Internet and social media followed closely behind. In just over 15 years the watch collector's ability to gather accurate information has been revolutionized.
And Michael was in the perfect position to maximize this ability and through this Forum.
That was a very good interview, Michael. I think you succinctly expressed the heart and soul of our particular online community!
Lovely interview Michael.
We missed the forum watch, want it this time though.
Waiting patiently for it.
Thanks for sharing the post.
MK
Actually you are Michael.
I am happy for you as we all are in fact.
I am sure you never thought IWC would be this big back then and IWC sure owes you a lot.
Thank you for the link to the interview, it was a great read!
Kind regards,
Clemens
Congratulations on your well deserved recognition Michael, and thanks for highlighting the IWC Collector's Forum community spirit.
Very interesting and good interview.
You are a great ambassador.
Regards from Hamburg

A great article with a great ambassador for IWC
Thanks for sharing the interview with us, Michael. I could almost read about myself between the lines about the newcomers :o) There really is a lot to learn.
But most of all I like the story about the watch you have mentioned. It must be a great feeling to have such a connection for the watch even if you are in no other way connected to the previous owners.
