    Holiday Greetings fellow IWC collectors...

I don't post much on this forum but i frequent it daily reading through many of your posts. I was infected by the IWC virus back in May when i purchased my first Portuguese Automatic 5001-14. Since then, I've been infected by the PAM virus. However, once you've been bitten by the incurable IWC virus, there's no turning back. Times after times I've suffered sleep deprivation due to constant itches by the virus.

Yesterday i picked up my second IWC, the Portuguese 5442-23 F.A.Jones after reading Mr. Friedberg's post on "Keeping up with the Joneses". This watch is a real beauty and I've never seen such elegant looking watch in my life. Picture could not justify how beautiful this watch is...

Last night i decided to swap straps with my 5001...

    I need help!!!

    Happy Holidays Everyone!

There is no help that can be provided. The IWC Uhren-virus is incurable and gets worse with time. The FA Jones is a terrific IWC. The back side is a wonderful as the dial side. Congratulations and condolences since no cure is available here.

    A couple of NO's here!

    2) NO DOUBT ABOUT IT - that Jones is a superbly handsome piece.

    Great move.. Great watch.

Thank you all for your comments. Even though the virus is incurable, at least there's this forum where I could seek help and consult treatment haha.

    The virus is indeed incurable,
But (and my wife agrees) rather 9 watches and one wife..
Than 9 wifes and one watch..
By the way the first option is way cheaper (LOL)
    Cheers

Like any "men's hobby" I keep adding and modifying as well. If you get the opportunity, tack on some Santoni's to your IWC's. Light brown on my Jones, dark brown Santoni's on my Portuguese Auto. They're amazing.

Very nice! I have a Santoni strap for my 5001 which I change back and forth with the black one. Will put it on my FA Jones one day

Interesting how many IWC Forum Folk have similar tastes/collections. For instance, Bill B. also has a Jones and VC Portofino. I also have Panerai, but IWC is my first passion.

    Two questions for you all.

This Portuguese 5442-23 F.A.Jones is not a current model, right? What I mean is that it is not available on iwc.com nor in a boutique, correct?

Where do you all get the Santoni straps? Just from an IWC store? I also have a 5001 7-day automatic and I'm tempted to try a diff strap.

    Thanks in advance!

The 544203 was released in 2005 with a limited run of 3000pcs for steel. I bought mine used and the watch was recently serviced by IwC so it looks and works great. As to where to find them, I saw some on sales here and there but you just need to find them.

Santoni straps could be found at IWC boutique.
