This year, I'm working on a series of interviews with collectors. The first will be none other than "our" Jarrod Gill.

MF,this is a terrific article on a great couple. I've had the pleasure to be with them in NYC and in Ghent, Belgium. Steff is a very supportive spouse who knows her watches. They make a great team. Thanks for doing this interview so others will get to know this dynamic Duo.
Great interview Michael
It's very interesting to read about friends on the Forum and learn a little more about them.
Thanks Jarrod for giving us such a personal account of your journey. Both around the world and in the watch world as well!
A great read MF - it's really interesting to find out more about the collectors here.
Regards,
Thang
Great interview Michael - and thanks to Jarrod too. Always interesting to learn more about forum members and their collecting story.
A very interesting interview...well done, Michael! I look forward to meeting Jarrod and Steff at some future date!
Great interview- I'm glad to see this, and hope it becomes a regular part of the Forum.
Jarrod and Steff, I hope to meet you eventually- maybe when you are ensconced temporarily in North America for a time. But let me tell you how much I admire you- it takes 'guts' to get up and go around the world like you are doing, and I think it is great! And of course you have great taste in watches, too!
Travel safely!
Nelson
Very interesting interview. It is kind of a boy's dream, leaving everything behind and travelling around the world: great if you can do so. I hope Jarrod can still find his Vintage Collection Pilot's watch and Portofino: at least about the Pilot's watch I can state that it is a fantastic watch that really comes to life on the wrist, about the same as with the Portuguese.
Kind regards,
Paul
This is a great interview. It shows perfectly a typical collector and target group of IWC these days. Good job, Michael!
Great interview Michael of a great collector (couple)!
Thanks,
Bob
Great read!! Thanks for sharing - what a great interview topic.
Wishing Jarrod and Steff well on their adventure.
Great read. I enjoyed reading the interview a lot. Thanks to Michael and Jarrod to let us have a deeper look into the collectors live.
I just spent one evening with Jarrod and Steff and it was a short but lovely GTG.
I wish you guys safe travels and a lot of fun. You are a very cute couple!
Cheers Chris
Very nice interview, Michael. And a great way to learn about the forum members!
And Jarrod, Steff - it´s fantastic what you are doing. I wish you save travels - and many of your desired watches ;-) Keep the pictures coming.
hope to see you one time.
Best,
-Christian
Great interview, Michael!
Thank you
Juri
This is a great read and a very nice addition to the IWC online universe now that the magazine is no more - thanks Michael!
Jarrod and Steff were the perfect objects to kick off what I hope will be a great recurring feature. Enjoy your travels guys and make sure to let me know when your adventures take you to Norway:-)
It was great to be chosen as first cab off the rank for these interviews. Quite honoured really. I look forward to reading the futures ones. It was a lot of fun to do.
Jarrod, my compliments to you. A lot of people thanked me for a really nice interview, but I just asked questions. Your answers --their candor and the passions underlying them-- made the interview. Thank you, very much.
I love this interview. It's really nice to get "personal" with those we connect with here on a daily basis.
Hey MF, maybe you should interview "yourself"? It's been a long time since you've done one. Or maybe Tonny or one of us could ask the questions.
Best,
Larry
I second that.
Cheers Chris
I think interviews with the group of IWC buyers we meet every January at SIHH, year after year, make most sense. They are obviously the most devoted IWC fans. Also, the cost of travelling would be minimized, since they all meet in Geneva at the same time.
I generally try to pick a diverse group of people who would be interesting to a broad variety of readers, although the emphasis of course would be on IWC. Some of the "best" fans don't travel to Geneva (for example, very few from Asia make the trip and also only a few really vintage guys are interested).
Also, in this electronic world most of the interviews need not be done in person, so traveling is not a concern. In fact, we've talked about doing video interviews next year.
Thanks Skule! And stay tuned. We are working on plans for October.
