Am lucky enough to join the IWC forum Collectors' Meeting this year.  It started with a night of laughter and joy: the Collectors' Meeting Dinner.

The venue of choice is Restaurant Vieux Bois in Ecole Hôtelière Genève, with dishes being prepared by apprentice chefs. Coherent to IWC's long history of having a watchmaking school training apprentice watchmakers.  (Photo credit: Ben)

A tradition at the Collectors' Dinner is a quiz on everything related to IWC, prepared by our moderator Tonny.  This year marks the 10th anniversary of Tonny serving as our moderator, thank you for your contribution!

Both from the 70's, both by IWC

As always, the dinner was concluded a table shot.

It's a huge privilege sharing the night such group of genuine collectors and friends for the dinner, and happy seeing new faces joining.  It will be the Collectors' Meeting 2025 today and I am looking forward to it. Cheers.

Great photos - thanks for sharing Erwin.

The Collectors meetings and dinners are a genuine privilege of forum membership. It’s amazing to think how many international friendships have been made simply by a shared passion for IWC.

Thanks to Tonny and IWC for making this possible, and congrats on 10 years of moderation too Tonny! 👏

Just stumbled across this post; certainly looks like a great and interesting event!

May I ask what these beautiful Big Pilots with the light grey dials and dark cases are?

Never seen anything like it before and they look so special! Would love to see some close-ups!

    Cheers,

    Max

A special private commission of 30 pieces, I believe. Blasted titanium case and 8-day handwound movement. Omission of a seconds hand allows for the thinnest Big Pilot ever. There may be one still available at a boutique in the USA. Unfortunately, I don't know which boutique that may be.

Stunning, wow! If anybody knows which boutique that might be, I would certainly love to know and get in touch!

Thanks for the response, Ben! I appreciate that!

    Thanks Erwin,

awesome report that I must have missed somehow before.

Thes collectors' events at IWC are about great people (inside and outside of IWC), great watches, great cars, great comradeship, food, drinks, joy, laughter and enjoying the spirit of all this. Hopefully transporting a small part of the joy to those who haven't been able to join (this time).
