    Dear Sirs,

I have recently aquired a Schaffhausen (58mm casing) 14k Gold , with matching casing lid numbersĀ  490727, and mechanism number 467325 - SWISS SIGN then number 31457.
it weighs 160.58grams. Arabis numerals, truly very very good condition. still in excellent working order.
    I have a few questions :
-Can anyone please date the watch itself AND the mechanism for me? (are those years the same?) -
(I see there are sites where you can introduce casing and mechanism numbers and find the year of the model and the year the mechanism was made, but unfortunately these arent working on my web browser)
I was told the mechanism might be from 1897... is that accurate?
    - Also, could anyone tell me what a watch like this might be worth?

Thank you very much in advance,
    Best regards

Excuse me, I forgot to also ask more importantly - which Calibre the mechanism is?

Welcome and congratulations on a fine IWC pocket watch! according to the date your IWC page, here is the informaton you are seeking:

The movement is a Sav. calibre 53, dating from the year 1910.
The case was most probably produced resp. delivered around 1911.

If you do intend to run the watch I would highly recommend a service. Any competent watchmaker should be able to give it a clean and lube.
    Hope his helps!
