    So I took my old strap and had the original calfskin inlay removed and put in a 'gator inlay - I got it back last week and I'm really happy with the results. I wanted a dark dark blue color and decided on white stitching, so something similar to the rubber/blue leather inlay strap for the Ingenieur Chrono Racer. But because the strap is going on a carbon fiber case, the blue really couldn't be that blue. So enough with words - here are some pics!

    So in normal, yellow lighting, the straps all by themselves, they look quite black, like ink:

    The blue starts to show just a little in the same lighting once you can compare it to the black of the carbon fiber case:

    Even in sunlight, the blue doesn't really show, so it just looks like a black leather strap on CF, though different levels of sunlight does bring out different amounts of blue:

    But once you put a bright white LED flashlight to it, the blue really pops!:

    I think the dark blue and the bright blue pairs well with the carbon fiber, and the CF case looks pretty darn good on a gator strap!
