Question: A good time ago one could visit the website 'Date your IWC' which
lead to a database where one could fill in the serialnumbers of the IWC watch
and the number of the housing. As a result one could see in which year the
watch was manufactured and if the 2 numbers matched next to some other
information. Lately I discovered that this website does not work properly
anymore or do I make a mistake somewhere. If not working is there a
    alternative ?

Well, developing such a tool and keep it running takes tremendous effort and
    it was for free !

I don“t know any alternative. But I am sure, IWC will get a lot of questions
and work about extracts and that is not for free ?!

I can imagine that. But allthe work was already done because it was only mend
    to watches untill 1970 ( I think).
