I must say, I see the point of both statements. As much as I can admire skill, craftmanship, I sometimes notice that the end result is not "it". It certainly says more about the viewer than anything else, and we are talking about exquisite luxury goods. That said, I rather see the original Grande Complication, where the size of the watch is more in line with the size of the movement: with the Portuguese the subdials are quite centered, cleverly hidden by the Portuguese number ring. Of course, if someone would lend it to me for five minutes, I would very proudly wear it, and return it with a bleeding heart.
