    Can anyone please say if the dial feet on these two dials are in the same
    position? picture of a cal 853 below, mine is 852 damaged dial so i want to
    change, dealer in switzerland said they are but thought i would ask on here
    before proceeding to a watch

    Hi Gary,

    Caliber 852 and 853 share the same base plate. Only the escapement (escape
    wheel, lever and balance)has been improved from 852 to 853. Therefore the dial
    feet position is the same. What you have to check is the diameter of the dial.
