It's in the latest issue of Watch International --wine guru Robert Parker is an IWC enthusiast and owns several pieces.

I've always admired Parker, not only for his taste in wine but also would he's done with elevating wine reviews to a culture (it should be a model for the watch industry). Besides, I like wine almost as much as watches, as this photo shows.

Parker just popped in one day at IWC --he's not a paid celebrity endorsing the brand. The people at IWC were as pleased with his interest as he is with IWC. The story of his interest in IWC is revealed in the latest Watch International.

    Regards,
    Michael

    The Michael Friedberg's 100 List

Interesting article Michael I believe that all IWC enthusiasts are interesting persons and it always gives me great pleasure discovering and spotting IWC owners.

Concerning your observation I would be very happy to read
"The Michael Friedberg's 100 List" involving watches.

    Best regards

This picture is more relevent than you may know.

Having worked in the wine trade for the past 40 years I had the pleasure of meeting and dining with Andre Gagey of Louis Jadot. Andre Gagey joined LJ in 1954 and spent 30 years developing and promoting Louis Jadot Burgundies throughout the world. His name was as renowned in the wine trade as is Kurt Klaus to watchmaking.
Their common denominator - Both truely remarkable men and both passionately dedicated to their respective industries.
The Louis Jadot brand is very like that of IWC - a true sign of a quality product

a glass of Jadot in the hand and an IWC on the wrist - what more could you wish for

    A great combination.
    Thanks for posting MF

    Watch/Winetaste likewise

    Hi Michael,
Very nice photograph! The Montrachet suits the classic pocket watch very fine indeed.

Mr Parker is really a honourable Ambassador for wine in the world.
Even though we both don't share the same taste in the various wine characertistics.

The Big Pilot in platinium and the Top Gun are really like some 95 points Parker wines. Muscular, woody a pure "bomber" of a wine/watch.

I would like see the wine of somebody who wears a Portuguese minute repeater or a Portofino;-))??

@Michael: The Montarchet goes also very nice with your Portuguese Tourbillon as well as a La Tache or a Romanee Conti.

    Greetings
