I wish I did have my Portugieser chrono, but it still is with IWC in Texas.
Maybe they will finally fix or replace it one of these days. It's about two
months since I heard from them last. How long does it typically take IWC to
replace a watch? This is its third trip to the service center.

    Nice!!

my first IWC as well, and I must say, 3717 has certainly stood the test of
time! 3777 deviated from the design, grew 1mm and over time the design
language has returned to the original 3717.

I no longer have my first; a 5009-01 I purchased in 2012, but it's still in
the family safe and sound with my younger brother.

Same here... my 3717 is still here and getting actually more and more time on
    my wrist.

The funny thing is, that I am changing straps on this one more often than on
my Pams :) Croco, horween, cordura... works fine with anything and on any
    occasion!

My first IWC was a lovely 3706 which I bought 15 years ago, yesterday. I no
longer have it but it is still in the family as I passed it on to my son.

I do still have my next IWC, a big brother to the 3706...a 3713 which I bought
just less than 15 years ago:

Love seeing your first pieces in yellow gold!

I'm hoping IWC returns to this precious metal.

I did something similar for my first IWC (a Mark XVI Pilot's Watch) - amazing
what a new strap can do to bring a new character to this
    watch

    Hi Giuliano,

very nice piece. Do you know which movement ist contains? I have two watches
having the same teardrop lugs case on with Cal 61 and one with Cal 70.

    A second
piece "Hermet case " with same lugs. Both fit cal. 83. I have some other "
Hermet" cal. 61 but with different lugs.

I still have my first IWC, the St Exupery Chronograph. Bought in 2007.

Funny that this old picture was actually taken on Friday the 13th, like the
    day I'm posting this.

    Kind regards,
