Above is a link to several pictures of an IWC Mark XV wristwatch recently submitted by a client to my auction. Provenance is unclear beyond the client stating it was received as a gift years ago; I am far from an expert on IWC watches, a bit of research did not reveal any similar looking watches with an open movement be they fake or genuine. The workmanship is top quality based on my limited experience with modern luxury watches.

I don't wish to present this watch if it is fake, furthermore as I am friend of the client, I would like to keep him informed if his item is genuine as well.

Thank you for any help or further places for me to look.

Aha, the famous Probus Soafiua limited edition, from time to time these appear on the market. Mostly made in a place not called Schaffhausen. Sorry
to say this is a fake.
