Hello everyone. I found this rare beauty at a local boutique here in Romania.
But as I can figure, the case is not an original one. So I am asking if anyone
of you has a case that can fit this wonderful movement. I ve been searching
the internet to find one, but nothing. Thank you all,
    Cristian

    Definitley
    the

Adelbaran , this is a very
difficult mission you have set yourself, and I am doubtful if you shall
succeed in finding a genuine IWC case for this great movement.

Having said that, this movement seems to fit pretty well in the case it's in
and if it was my project, I would simply focus on restoring that case where
everything is possoble from replating to polishing etc.

The movement of course can and should be fully served by a competant
watchmaker, and then there is only the remaining question/discussion as to
what to do with the dial? Either have it professionally restored, or leave it
as is with that patina which reflects the age of this movement which dates
    from 1941.

    Yeah

I agree with the observations of Mark (8541) - the course he suggests makes
    good sense to me.

    I agree with Mark (8541)

There will be no case available because it is too old and too ( relatively)
    rare.

Even IWC will most probably not have a spare case and if so it will be
    numbered and not for sale.

Your only chance is to look on the internet for another ( defect) complete
cal. 61 and take it from there.

As Mark suggests, keep this well fitting case.

    Adrian,

Thank you all. I found a case and dial restorer here. I'll restore the case
and clean a little bit the dial. This guy who make restorations works with a
very skilful watchmaker who will give a full service to the movement. After
the restoration I'll post some pictures with the result. By the way, I also
found a pocket watch, a very, very rare caliber 69. I'll show you in the
    future

Adelbaran, absolutely great that you will make the effort and restore this
watch. The movement will be good for at least another 80 plus years after
    service.

tou do not say, where "here" is - but I'm happy you found someone local to
    work on it for you.
