For some reason I decided to wear two watches today. Neither has had much wrist time for awhile. Since it is a very slow day after the great snow storm, I picked up my camera and snapped a wrist shot for each arm. This was available light and no tripod so forgive the poor photos.

Enjoy your weekend. Now that I am dug out of the snow, I will too.

An overhaul of the Double Chronograph?

Wouldn't you consider an overhaul of the beautiful Double Chronograph? Those yellow markers and yellowish hands were white once, I think the watch would look much more magnificent if it was restored to the original splendor, fitting to this tool watch.

I like those two very IWC-looking watches.

    Kind regards,
Paul, wearing rose gold Saint Exupéry Chrono

Good idea! Nice patina on the Doppel>

It really gives sense to the old claim: "Incredibly tough and more attractive, the older it gets. Like a man".

Have fun and wear it in good health!

I have considered your suggestion, but >>>

I made the decision when the Doppel went to Schaffhausen for a tune up to leave the original dial and hands as is.

I did not make the decision based on improving its current appearance or on potential resale value as this one is not for sale and likely never will be sold by me.

I am perhaps too much of a traditionalist and prefer leaving the watch as is. This Dopel was designed to have Tritium markers and hands and I will leave it that way. Similarly, I would not change the markers on an Ocean Bund 3H dial either. Both were made to be T Swiss T models and they should stay that way even in the glow is gone and the yellowish patina has developed. The yellowing gives the Doppel character in my view.

I understand your feeling, but I have gone the opposite direction.

Leave as is, but that's personal. Great watch(es)!
