Ending 2013 on a high note...Le Petit Prince Perpetual Calendar

Nothing is more satisfying than ending a great year with something like this...

Not sure if I can get 502802 (Le Petit Prince Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar) before X'mas. But here with me is a wrist shot of the real thing...will keep this picture in my mobile phone for the time being until we meet again...yes...we will...meet again!

I was in touch with my Jeweler today and he tells me that IWC isn't promising dealers the Perpetual until April. He is looking into whether he can get one earlier. Is that what everyone else is hearing?

Two weeks ago, I was told the delivery will be in Jan 2014. Checked with them today, nothing has changed. But they said they will try their best to have it delivered before Christmas. But who knows...they are also setting up a showcase in the BT, if they can't deliver sooner, what's the point of doing this? Hmmm...keep our fingers crossed!

Hmm. I wonder if geography has anything to do with it. Some brands roll out their new watches later in the US. I hope not, and I hope your source is right.

Mike, interesting when I double checked your post. When you mentioned retailer, this watch should be boutique exclusive limited to 270 watches. From the reply of your retailer, perhaps IWC will first see if they could sell out all 270 before April, if not, they will sell it via the retailers. This happened before. Just guessing.

You know, you may very well be right. Now I have to hope my AD has enough clout to get one earlier. I much prefer to deal with him than the IWC boutique.

I hope I'm not a spoiler, but I doubt AD's are going to be allocated any LPP's, especially in the U.S.

Boutique exclusivity is becoming a larger part of the overall distribution channel.
