I'll be sure to check it out on my next visit.
Any word on the NYC Boutique?

Hey Tracy. You should be all over this. I know you will give us a report.

I guess that if IWC would have corrected the sales figures for Tracy's collection, there would never have been a boutique in Hawaii :-)

    (Just kidding Tracy :-)

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

    Aloha all!

The IWC Boutique is located right in the heart of Waikiki in the DFS Galleria building and right across the street from another IWC AD at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. Anyone visiting Hawaii should stop by and visit - the IWC Boutique closes at 11:00 every night.

Unfortunately for local residents like myself, it is a "Duty Free" store. Thus, you can only purchase items if you have an international ticket and the store will deliver your watch to the airport before you board your plane for an international destination.

For that reason, the IWC Boutique is primarily geared toward Japanese, Chinese, and Korean tourists. In the past, local residents were not even allowed to enter the store but in recent years they let us come in and look around and even examine the watches but we still can't buy anything unless we have a friend traveling to Asia for a business trip or a vacation.

Even before the official "boutique" designation this particular store was already selling "boutique only" IWC watches. Of course, I was hoping for a new Big Pilot "Special Edition For Hawaii" (LOL).

    Tracy,
That is amazing. Looks like you need to persuade Nad to take a trip West on his way to China.

Boutique IWC, photos of which are represented here has something similar to design a boutique IWC, which is in Moscow. The same tone design, and the same concept.

Evgeny --Depending on the store size, all boutiques (except the Flagship) are intended to have the same design. The same design team in Schaffhausen that works on watches also designs boutique interiors. The idea is that there should be a similar "branding" by having a common "look and feel".

Tracy, You have my full sympathy on this one. I can imagine the pain you will go through, when seeing a "desirable watch" in that Boutique, and then knowing you could not aquire it.

On the up side - you will be real close and right accross the street from your office and shall be able to see some "first views" in the Boutique, way long before some of us who live in areas without IWC Boutiques would see some (if ever) limioted releases.

Thanks for posting MF - if and when my travels take me to Hawaii, I'll be sure to have Tracy check out and "good buys" for me :~)

    Best regards
    Mark
