Wonderful, wonderful watches.

Wonderful, wonderful watches.
The time set at tea time had been 'invented' by IWC, as can be seen from older catalogues (here 1998/99). This was obviously necessary to take into account the 90° impact of the Cal. 95. I also find it very nice. Here are shots from the catalogue. You will notice (nobody's perfect) that the back side of the 5251 is incorrectly displayed, the movement is actually in reverse!
everything is in the details, as usual,
What can I say that others have not already said? That is just a breathtaking collection! I love seeing the original Portuguesers! And I wish there were a way we could all hear that repeater chime.
Wonderful collection!
One word - AWESOME!
I would love to see the 5240 in metal.
Various people have a number of watches, Kovacs this is one of two collections that really stand out as a considered theme and because it's my favourite the Portuguese series it very much holds my attention. I am envious, but more than that I'm totally in admiration of your collection and even the interlopers aren't to be dismissed. Well chosen and well considered. Hyper words are not needed for this collection.
Thamks for sharing Kovacs, looking through your collection has the effect of walking through a quiet town in a lazy afternoon; I like your purist consistency, great taste.
Kind regards and happy new year,
Pete
