Hi,
I bought an IWC Portuguese 500107 in December 2013. Initially it was keeping time reasonably well but in the past one year, I noticed that it has been gaining time at an alarming rate. I recently had the opportunity to get it checked out while sending my other mechanical watch for servicing. As you can see from the photos, the 500107 was tested on a Wicometre Professional and the rate ranged from +15secs to +337secs while mounted on the horizontal position. I have a 6 min video showing the rate varying widely. Since it is still under warranty, I'll be taking it in for servicing. The watch has never been dropped or received and severe shock so would anyone here know why it would behave so erratically? The watchmaker that check my watch is from Mont Blanc and he thinks it has something to do the the balance wheel. I would love to hear the views of the experts here. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Kelvin
