Nearly a couple of months ago I enquired with IWC about getting my vintage
(late 1960s) watch serviced. I was told that it was impossible to provide any
sort of estimate of the likely cost without first sending it to be examined.
IWC sent me a fancy expanding foam container and a DHL label to send the watch
to their London representatives (RIS) for an estimate.
It's now been six weeks since RIS received the watch. I've yet to hear back
from RIS or IWC and I haven't even received a formal acknowledgement that the
watch was received (although the tracking shows that it was). I have had
intermittent contact with IWC Europe, who tell me that everything is OK but
are unable to provide me with any updates...
How long is this likely to take? I'm not waiting for the watch to be serviced,
just to get even an approximate estimate of how much it will cost..
