Although I am quite new in this forum, I have noticed that some people register here in order to “test” their fakes with questions to us in order to gain from our expertise...
Surely there those with legitimate questions but if there is someone that is persistent  in this practice shouldn’ he be excluded from our community?
    just a thought
    Cheers

    you have a point,
but we have a moderator who is capabel to do so if neccesarry.
I think sometimes it is FUN to see a fake and determine how soon I can tell if it is (some are quite good).
but if the Forum is questioned about its judgement.. it gets ugly imo
    cheers

But that would be hard to track right? its really easy to just start a new accout.. and say you are new and want to know if the watch in question is a fake. and just close that accont and start again....

A fair question. As a moderator I believe more in include people than exclude. But as people are not willing to take good advice from the experts here, it is up to them to believe what they want. As a moderator, it happens that I communicate with them directly, out of the forum. Most of the time that helps.
In the next forum software update ( very soon ) I will be able to close a discussion.

That is great to hear Tonny.
I did not know that you were not able to shut down inappropriate posts!
Looking forward to the new platform :o)

Closing a discussion will definitely help for these threads. Maybe the possibility to archive them directly would be also an idea?

    Thank you all.
Tony, closing a discussion would be a great idea as we would not like to provide any assistance to people that want to make or promote fakes.
    cheers

I don't think all of the authentication inquiries are from the creators or sellers of these fakes as mauch as they are from prospective purchasers who found what they thought to be a "really good deal." I am guessing that most of the "inherited" watches are actually "on offer." I have no problem letting folks know what is fake and welcome closing these posts if they do linger too long.

Good point Ben! Inherited = On Offer
That makes sense and most of these people aking have not yet spent much time on the matter. They just want to make a good deal which we all know can't be the real deal!
