Hi everybody

It was a rather long journey, but finally, I have the most beautiful of all the great and iconic IWC Big Pilot Watches on my wrist: The "Edition Le petit Prince", limited to 1'000 pieces!

This watch was on my radar for quite a long time but I never really found a good chance to getting it. However, during the last few weeks, I suddenly crossed several concrete Opportunities to get it:
[]A Guy from Switzerland sold one, but somehow there were small doubts and when I found out, that he did not always tell the truth to me, I decided against the deal
[
]A very good priced offer from Taiwan...but Taiwan seemed a bit risky to me
[]A great possibility to get the watch from the U.S., in very good condition from a very trustful seller at a really good price...I was close to buy
[
]And finally a seller from Switzerland, who I could meet in person for the deal and who offered it from the start for a very good price that did not need to be discussed!
I got the watch two days ago and yesterday, I went to a trip with my workmates. We were in Central Switzerland/Lake Lucerne. It was a great day with nice weather and good food. But what I most enjoyed, was the watch on my wrist. I'm sure, at least you guys can understand that...

Greetings to all, especially to Dick L. from The U.S. of A.!
Philipp

Congratulations to this great addition to your collection! Its a beautiful watch - even tho I personally prefer the new design of the IW501002 . Like the hands and numerals better on the new one.

Nevertheless have a lot of fun with the watch! I guess its a purchase you´ll never regret!

A huge congrats Philipp to maybe "THE" best Big Pilot LPP ever made! I am nin love with the numerals, even though it would habe been nicer to also have a 9 on the dial.

Enjoy this beauty and I am sure you will a lot!

Patrick

Congratulations on the new beauty, Phillip.  It is a terrific watch and looks good on your wrist.

The use of the numerals formerly appearing on the Saint Exupery Chrono represents such a logical feature, since Saint-Exupery was the author of Le Petit Prince.  To me, that alone places this model above the subsequent versions with a more plain numeral font.

I wish you many happy years of enjoying your BP LPP!

Big Pilot Congrats on the LPP Phillip !  Absolutely agree with Dick on the use of the St. Ex numerals. for LPP models. Much of the uniqueness/identity was lost when the font/triangle changed.

Unfortunately, can't pull off a BP on my smaller wrist, but it's "little brother" with St. Ex layout says "Hi".

Enjoy your new Bluetiful BP LPP,

Andy

HUGE CONGRATS!!!!!!

Such a beautiful piece!!!!

I've been hunting for one myself for a while with no luck. It's my Moby Dick :(

Glad you got one and with a great story.

In my PERSONAL opinion, this particular piece (as well as the Antoine de Saint-Exupery) are exempt from the "lack of 9" criticism because the markers are non traditional as well.

Wear it in good health!!

Congratulations on one of the best looking BigPilot IWC has ever given us. I too was a late joiner and was on the same hunt earlier this year and managed to secure a decent copy.

Here's to the Big Blue! Enjoy in great health!

Congratulations on that beautiful Big Pilot! Every time I get the chance to put Tilo's watch on my wrist I do it and enjoy it a lot! The picture below was during the BBAMSGTG meeting in June this year.
