After the reveal with pictures taken by my friend and colleague which you can read here, I was finally able to strap the watch on my wrist after we got home from the holidays!

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IW500201/500201_Wrist_20130901.jpg

The watch sits perfectly on my wrist and feels right at home! That evening, I didn't stop looking at it, which also means I went to bed way past bed time as you can see in this lume shot:

It's a good thing the we have some strong Nespresso varieties at home to help me wake up just a few hours later:

After breakfast, it was back to the office for business as usual. Tomorrow, the kids go back to school so we will have to get up even earlier. I am sure the Big Pilot will get plenty of wrist time in the near future!

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

Great wristshots Clemens. I guess you turned you wrist about a thousand times considering the power reserve went up from 2 to 7 in just a few hours ;-)

Very sharp Norbert! I admit that I looked quite often but I actually wound it by hand after the first wrist shot :-)

    Kind regards,

Clemens, this watch looks great on your wrist, big congratulation. It's a perfect classic and wonderful presence on the wrist. The design and forms fit together perfectly.
I was struggling with me if I should go for this one or for the new Ingenieur Chronograph Racer. I think the Inge made the race but a lot of things can happen until you reach the finishing line. ;-)

PS: I love the lume of this dial and hands.

Knowing your watch awaits you "almost home" must be worse then waiting to be delivered only, I'd suppose. I'm glad you could finally put it on your wrist. Enjoy it !

    Clemens,

Congrats on picking up the best BP variant of them all. I love that watch !

IWC...please make this exact watch in a 41-42mm for all of us who can't handle 46+mm's. Give me about 20 minutes to get to my AD and place my order. Thank you.

Andy, my wrists are only 6.75 inch (17 cm) and I feel very comfortable wearing the BP! Just go for it :-)

    Kind regards,

Looks wonderful, Clemens. I agree with you on the size, the watch looks and actually is quite big, but it doesn't wear that way. Enjoy your beauty!

I agree with Andy:The 5002 dial should be re-introduced in a BP,because its I watch that obviously generates quite a lot of interest.
