First IWC - Cannot decide!

Hello all,

I'm planning to get my first IWC and yesterday I visited the boutique to check on my options.

...then I saw PORTOFINO HAND-WOUND DAY & DATE! I liked it so much but I'm not sure if it's really worth the price compared to Portofino Automatic 37.

What do you think? Which one should I get? This in-house calibre discussions also confused me a lot.
I also want to buy something that I can pass to my children even grandchildren so I want to buy which would be something really unique (of course within my budget :))

Indeed, like Mark and Anders mentioned, if you want to buy a new watch and want something that you can pass on for generations... no doubt, in-house is the way to go!
You won't regret it.
