Received a "Watchmaker's Selection" catalog in WnW today.

One model that catches my eyes was the Big Pilot Rodeo Boutique Edition. Limited edition of 250pcs (prev info 100pcs), 46mm ceramic case, blue dial with the "9" back in 5009 font, and with the triangle dropped a bit at 12 O'clock. Photo as below:

One more thing, this model has a ref of 502003, so I'd expect the new Big Pilot next year to be 5020.

note: just confirmed that this is now an edition of 250pcs

I'm unsure about this piece... Not sure the blue and the black go all that well together .. Also disappointing to see the "ONE OUT OF" on the back of the case.. For this money, it should be specifically numbered... Why cut corners on something so trivial :(

Great to see a 46 mm ceramic case. I once tried the 48 mm, that was definitely too big, at least for me. The whole watch appeals to me, the new dial lay-out looks nice and balanced. And now a perpetual calendar movement in this case...

    Kind regards,
    Paul

I strong agree with the new case size! I'm really hoping there is a 46mm perpetual in the ceramic case... If it has double moon-phases, I'll be all over it!

It's interesting how the photos says 'one out of 100' but then it's been bumped up officially to 250... I wonder if they waited to see feedback at W&W to make a final decision.

Thanks for sharing - been waiting for these photos of the elusive with 9 blue ceramic pilot!

    Regards,
    Thang

I really hope they downsize the 48mm cermic pilot to 46mm. 48 is too far a stretch for my 6in wrist. Come on SIHH 2016!!!!

Get a load of you pencil-necked and wristed girlie men... Even Lola says to man up and embrace the full power of 48mm:

Oh well, and I'm actually hoping that they'll downsize their successor for the Mark XVII to 38 or something similar :D
It's a curse to have skinny wrists when you're eager to grab your first IWC rather sooner than later.

2016 is the year of the pilots or? Sounds like people are expecting new pilot watches on 2016.

Yes, looking forward to the new BP's. Does anyone know when the new catalogue will be released?
