As I read every week cellar's great "Tuesdays Tour of the Archives", they remind me that many of our members weren't participants on the forum several years ago. I therefore thought I'd therefore present you with a few reference sources, primarily about vintage IWC watches:

    1. First is cellar's own page of articles about IWC. He's too modest to make that part of his Tuesday tours --so here goes:

    www.gregsteer.net/IWC/IWC_Index.htm

    1. The next one is a little harder to read --it's in German but really you can decode it. This is a page summarizing all the main pocket watch movements of IWC:

    columba.ch/pocketwatch/kiwc.htm
please add http://www. to the beginning

    1. Then if you want to do research on early models and movements, look at my page of the IWC Vintage Catalog project. There are links of many old catalogs, and cellar did a great job of indexing the reference numbers. This is at:

    iwcforum.com/Vintage_Catalogs.html
please add http://www. to the beginning

    1. Perhaps the most important wristwacth in IWC's history is the Ingenieur, and a Swiss collector --who hasn't been on this forum for too long, Marco Schoenenberger, did a microsite on all Ingenieur models through 1995:

    moeb.ch/Ingenieur/00e_byReference.html
please add http://www. to the beginning

    1. Finally, if you want to check out more contemporary models. all the IWC workbooks (originally called dealers' books) from 1994 through 2007 were compiled by Stefan Weeber, and can be searched starting at:

    weeber.biz/IWC/Workbook/search.html
please add http://www. to the beginning

    Have fun!
    Michael

Thank you for the links, I've just had a pc crash so it really happened to be very useful to me to have the inge site back into my favorites.

I'm obviously joking about the glory of the Inge which is completely legitimate and deserved, you already know what's number one in my heart, in my pocket, on my wrist.

    Kind Regards,

    roberto

    These are helpful and informative...

links! Thanks, Michael! I was aware of some, but not all of them, and it provides me with some quality additions to my IWC Resource File.

    Best regards,

    Is it just me, or...

Thanks Michael, this is very usefull material.

For some reason all embeded links reference the same URL (www.gregsteer.net/IWC/IWC_Index.htm). Is it just me seeing this?

    Cheers,
    Evan

that is a weird software glitch...

,,which I've had before. I've fixed it now as you will note, but excluded "live links" to accomplish what I needed. In all events, you've got the links now.

    Sorry!

    Thank you for sharing these....

Even us "veterans," forget about these wonderful pages. And thank you to Marco, Stefan, Gregg and MF for all the work that went into them!
