Hi Larry, you must be one of the 'long timers' around here and you certainly are one of my early inspirators! Thanks for your great post and keep them coming!
Kind regards,
Bob
Larry --if you didn't "wander off the reservation" you could have kept a lot of those watches. You'd probably even be a rich many today ;)
Actually, I find your taste in IWC's impeccable. Sell them next time to me. ;)
Thanks for a fun post. And if I recall your first post was either on the first or second day that this forum opened in 2001!
You always enrich this forum with your posts, Larry! Thanks for the trip down memory lane and here is to the next 1000 posts!
Wow, you've owned quite a number of excellent watches. No harm in parting with some on the way. As they say "don't cry because it's over - smile because it happened".
Although that minute repeater might cause me to kick myself over too.
larry, what a superb post and great highlights from your collection. really enjoyed your recap, thank you for sharing!
i have a feeling you'll get a minute repeater back one of these days...
best wishes,
thang
Hello Larry,
When you posted that WEMPE recently on a reply to " Best Value for the Buck ", I had the same reaction then as with your post today......WOW WEE !! Simply spectacular. Tops on my wish list. Can you please tell what size it is ?
And Larry, that strap on the PISA, what mm is it ? Is there a Ref.# ?
Always look forward to your comments and Pic's. Wonderful collection.
Good Times,
Andy
Larry, what a nice way to share your 1000's post!
And some real nice watches there - no doubt. And I agree, your PISA must be a favorite.
But - did you really move out that Minute Repeater? Ouch !!! +
Here looking to the next 10+ years and 1001 additional posts - all in good health with lots of watch pleasure.
Great post, Larry. It has been my pleasure to share with you all these years together via this site.
I find it hard to believe you only have 1000 posts- surely with the change over on the site you must have 'zeroed' out- but no matter.
Talk to you soon.
Nelson
Congratulations on your 1000th post Larry. You're contributions are always much appreciated. Love those pictures you posted!

Andy,
The Wempe is a 42mm case and a tad on the thick side to cover all the modules. The strap on the Pisa is not an IWC, but rather a private maker. I'll be home in a couple of days and will let you know. I did move the Pisa to a Santoni and will post a pic shortly.
love the wempe Larry. we gotta organize one of these again, and fool around :)
Excellent Larry. Looking forward to the info and seeing the Pisa/Santoni pairing. BTW, if I ever wanted a PW, that Ingenieur is so my style. Next time you get that "what was I thinking" business, please, do not hesitate to let me know.
Have a safe trip home,
Andy
Hi Larry,
A wonderful read, thanks for that. I enjoyed meeting you a few years ago and hope we can repeat that once again some time.
I like your style to wait for some things to just happen to you.
