Dear IWC-Collectors,
I will leave IWC by tomorrow, April 14th as I will move with my family to Rio de Janeiro for the time of about 3 to 5 years. I am on the one hand very excited to go, facing quite an adventurous time. On the other hand I am of course having a hard time leaving a job I truly loved. I will surely miss the work for the IWC-Museum.
On this occasion I want to thank all collectors for a most exciting and inspiring cooperation. The numerous and interesting inputs and suggestions reaching me on a regular basis were of great help to me. Our annual meetings have always been a highlight and I truly hope that I can keep in touch with as many of you as possible.
I am very happy to announce that as final project I was able to expand and modernize the permanent exhibition of the IWC-Museum. We focused more strongly on IWC’s caliber history. The Club Series and Porsche Design Watches are more comprehensively presented and the “IWC Families” in the east wing have been expanded with new objects.
Most happy I am to announce that David Seyffer will take over my position as museum curator. During the last 3 years he took care of the historical archives of the company and has done an incredible amount of research. His know how is outstanding and I could not think of a successor more qualified. Mr. Seyffer will soon provide you with more detailed information regarding the changes of the museum exhibition.
With warmest regards from Schaffhausen,
Tanja Warring
Museum Curator
